
LEAD ORGANISERS
This inaugural International Web-Convention commemorating 100 Years of Media Education in South Asia has been organised by the Institute of International Journalism, Ohio University, USA; Dr Anamika Ray Memorial Trust and Institute of Media Studies and Research, India.
The institute is part of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, carrying out many of the school's international initiatives. Its goals are to prepare students to work as international journalists, support research on topics related to international journalism, enhance communication among journalists, students and media scholars, and cooperate with global partners in journalism education.
Dr. Anamika Ray Memorial Trust, a registered educational and research nonprofit organization, is dedicated towards the upliftment of research and development activities in the field of media, education, ethnic community, communication for development, science, risk & health communication, communication for social & behavioural change and other related areas of media and social sciences.

Institute of Media Studies is a voluntary organisation registered as a trust for the promotion of media literacy, training and research. IMSR has already conducted seminars and workshops in various parts of Karnataka. It has also undertaken publication of quality books on media practice. Plans are afoot to launch online courses for interested citizens on media practice and literacy. The trust is managed by well-known media professionals.
